1️⃣ Nov 5 - Revival Night
Join us Wednesday, November 5th at 6:45pm for Revival Night!
Afterwards join us for pumpkin treats in Gubbio’s! We are making an extra effort to invite the “unchurched” to our monthly Revival Night. This month’s theme is “Praise!” with an emphasis on what it means to praise God, regardless of how we feel.

2️⃣ Nov 6 - Women of St. Francis
All parish women are invited to join the Women of St. Francis for an evening of fellowship on Thursday, Nov. 6, in Rooms A/B of the Great Hall. We’ll begin at 6:30 p.m. with a prayer devotion, followed by our meeting at 7 p.m. A speaker from Bella House will share how they support homeless pregnant women. Refreshments provided! 3️⃣ Nov 7 - Marriage Enrichment Ministry
We invite you to join us for Holy Creations: A Couple’s Canvas Date Night on Friday, November 7th at 6:30 pm in the Parish Hall.

Come for a religious painting experience with local artist Michelle Ryan. Create a Nativity Scene with your partner as we prepare for the Advent season.

🕊️ Yesterday, the Church celebrated All Souls’ Day: a time to remember and pray for all who have gone before us in faith. Throughout November, we continue this beautiful tradition of remembrance and hope.

If you would like to include the name of a departed loved one in our Book of Remembrance, please pick up an envelope in the Narthex. Envelopes may be returned in the collection during Mass or brought to the parish office.

May the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. 🕊️

This year, All Saints Day falls on Saturday, November 1. Though it won’t be a Holy Day of Obligation, we invite everyone to join us in honoring all the saints by attending Mass.

We’ll celebrate a bilingual Mass at 8:30 am! Please note that confessions will be cancelled.

All Saints Day is a time to remember every soul in Heaven—those we know by name and those known only to God. Let’s celebrate the communion of saints together!

🙏 The Liturgy of the Eucharist is the high point of Christian worship. It follows a structure that has been handed down through the centuries.

This part of the Mass fosters a deeper relationship with Jesus and is considered the source and summit of the Christian life. This sacred rite is not only a memorial of Jesus' Last Supper but also a real and present encounter with the living Christ.

Another beautiful way to honor the Eucharist and continue this encounter with Christ is to attend Eucharistic Adoration! 📅 Join us for our November Revival Night on Wednesday, November 5th at 6:45pm in the Church.

2️⃣ Ashes to Ashes
Ashes to Ashes is a St. Francis event for men 21+ to gather for prayer and fellowship in a relaxed, tailgate-style setting with cigars, food, and drinks. Held in the Courtyard between Gubbio’s and the Chapel. The next event will be held on Friday October 24th at 7:00 pm. Bring a chair, your favorite cigar, something to throw on the grill, and a drink to enjoy.

3️⃣ MOMS Ministry
All mothers are welcome to join MOMS Ministry on Tuesday, October 21st at 7:00 pm for a night of Adoration and fellowship. Meet in Great Hall C, and we'll walk to the chapel together for time with the Lord in Adoration. Afterwards, we'll enjoy time connecting with one another over a meal. We hope to see you there!

4️⃣ Senior Ministry
The next St. Francis Senior Ministry meeting will be Wednesday, October 22nd from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm in the Parish Center - Meeting Rooms A and B.

Our goal for this meeting is to establish a leadership group for our ministry and set expectations for future meetings and events. All ideas and input welcome. Refreshments will be served. Please RSVP to m-seniors@stfoafrisco.org by October 20th.

1️⃣ Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion - Training
We are all called to actively participate in the Mass. One special way to do this is as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion. If you would like the privilege to assist with the distribution of Holy Communion, please attend one of our upcoming trainings. The trainings will be in the church on Saturday the 13th, Monday the 15th and Monday the 22nd. The trainings will be in the church as follows:

2️⃣ Millions of Monicas
Praying without ceasing for our children to remain or to come back to our Catholic Faith. We meet every 2nd Tuesday of the month. 1:00-2:00pm. All mothers and spiritual mothers are welcome on September 9th. St. Monica and St Augustine, pray for us. Amen.

5️⃣ Community of Disciples Initiative
We are happy to share that our parish has been chosen as one of the first five in the Diocese of Dallas to take part in the Community of Disciples Initiative. The Community of Disciples is a diocesan initiative that helps parishes become more inclusive for persons with disabilities and their families.It supports sensory-friendly Masses, adapted faith formation, and training for parish leaders to encourage full participation in parish life. This initiative was inspired by our Sensory Friendly Mass. We will be sharing more information about this in the coming weeks.

On August 15th we celebrate the Assumption of the Virgin Mary into heaven. Due to the significance of this day, it is a Holy Day of Obligation. Please join us at one of the following Mass times: 6:30 am, 8:30 am, 12:15 pm, 5:30 pm, 7:00 pm (Spanish). All Masses will take place in the Church.

2️⃣ OCIA Registration & Sponsors Needed
Registration is now open for the upcoming OCIA session, beginning September 4, 2025. Are you or someone you know interested in exploring the Catholic Church as your faith home? We are also seeking sponsors to serve the parish by supporting participants on their faith journey during this session.

3️⃣ Rogers School Supplies Drive
Our partner, Rogers Elementary (a Title 1 school), needs school supplies for the new year! Items include colored pencils, crayons, folders, markers, printer paper, scissors, glue sticks, backpacks, laminating pouches, AA batteries, and $5 gift cards for teachers.

Today we celebrate St. Clare—the namesake of our chapel! St. Clare was the spiritual sister and friend of St. Francis of Assisi. Inspired by his radical embrace of poverty and devotion to Christ, Clare left everything to follow the Gospel with joy and courage.

Today we celebrate the Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord, when Jesus revealed His divine glory to Peter, James, and John on the mountaintop. This moment points us toward the Resurrection and the fulfillment of God’s promises.

Moses and Elijah appear beside Him, representing the Law and the Prophets, as the voice of the Father declares, “This is my beloved Son...listen to Him.” The Transfiguration reminds us that Christ is not only fully human, but fully divine.

August is for the Immaculate Heart! 💙
This month, the Church invites us to draw closer to Mary by honoring her pure and tender heart. Her love for Jesus and for us is a model of faith, virtue, and trust in God.

We are invited to be a part of that mission every time we serve, tithe and leave our campus to live out the Gospel. Tithing is not about a financial transaction. It’s about participating in the mission of our church. Everything we have is a gift from God, and offering a portion of our time, talent and treasure is a way of expressing gratitude and trust in the providence of God. Tithing cultivates a spirit of generosity and gratitude, reminding us to place God first in our lives. In giving we are reminded that true abundance comes from what we are willing to share and not by what we keep. Our mission comes from the great commission that Jesus gave to his disciples.

July is a month dedicated to the Most Precious Blood of Jesus! In these remaining days of July, let us turn to the Cross with renewed gratitude and awe, asking Jesus to shelter us beneath the power of His Blood. 🙏❤️‍🔥

July 16 is the feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, patroness of the Carmelite Order.
This feast was established in the 13th century by hermits who lived on Mount Carmel in northern Israel. They became known as "Brothers of Our Lady of Mount Carmel." Our Lady of Mount Carmel is the patroness of the Carmelite Order and is associated with the devotion to the Brown Scapular. According to tradition, she appeared to St. Simon Stock and presented him with a scapular, explaining that whoever died wearing the scapular would be saved.

St. Vincent de Paul will host Parish Appreciation Day following Masses July 26-27 in the San Damiano Room. Snacks will be served after the 5 PM Mass, and doughnuts & coffee will be available after the Sunday morning Masses. Please stop by so our members can thank you and enjoy enticing eats.
