Matthew 25:35; “When I was a stranger, you welcomed me.”
At St. Francis, our Greeter ministry is looking for members to join in welcoming parishioners and visitors to our church each Saturday and Sunday. Please prayerfully consider if you, as an individual, or your family would like to take part in our Greeter ministry. If you have members in other ministries who show up early to church and are looking for something to do while you wait for them in the pew – maybe you would consider taking a door? Yes, your teens can earn hours for Greeting. (Must be 16 to greet without a parent/guardian present.)
What does Greeting require? If you can open and hold a door for another person and can smile and say, “Welcome” or “Hi” or “Good morning/afternoon/evening,” you’ve got what it takes. Families, singles, and couples all work well for this ministry. Plan to arrive to Mass ½ hour early, sign in, get a Greeter badge, have someone save your seat or mark your space in the pew, come back to the doors, and Greet! 5 minutes before Mass is to begin, return your badge to the bin, and take your seat.
Please contact Robin Wren to sign up: email@example.com / 951-760-2100 (cell).
