1️⃣ Lenten Family Night
Join us March 30th at 7:15pm for our Lenten Family Night: a night of fellowship as an oasis during our time in the desert. We will start the night with a talk: English will be in the Church and Spanish in the Chapel. We will all gather together for a night of praise and worship and fellowship afterwards. We'd love to see your family there!

2️⃣ Crawfish and Campaigns
Do you like free great food? Do you want to learn more about our parish? Join Fr. Rudy and Deacon Alex for our Crawfish and Campaign event on Sunday, April 6th in the courtyard outside the Chapel after the 11:00 and 12:30 Mass. Next Saturday, March 22nd at 9 AM will have an usher training in the church. Our ushers play an important role in hospitality and Mass assistance. Please consider joining this important ministry!

2️⃣ Ladies Auxiliary Scholarship Deadline
Attention High School Seniors - the scholarship deadline is April 1!
Please remember to submit your applications for the Knights of Columbus, Ladies Auxiliary and Women of St. Francis Scholarships. Submissions must be postmarked or dropped in the designated box in the parish office by the April 1, 2025 deadline or will not be accepted. 3️⃣ Summer Missionaries Needed
The Summer Youth Missionary will help build a culture of discipleship within the youth, parents, volunteers and the greater parish community. This will include collaborating and helping lead youth summer events such as Bible studies, discipleship groups, mission trips, youth conference, and being immersed in full parish life. It was truly a blessing to kick off the Lenten season in community: coming together for Mass, fellowship at Gubbio's, prayer, and formation.

🌟 St. Francis Week at a Glance! 🌟

1️⃣ March 10: Eucharistic Minister Training
The Eucharistic Ministers of Holy Communion help with the distribution of the Body and Blood of Christ during the Mass. Join us for training on Monday, March 10th at 6:00 PM in the church.

2️⃣ March 13: Columbian Squires Meet & Greet
Calling all young men ages 10-17! Join us on March 13th for a fun Meet & Greet with the Columbian Squires. We’ll be in the San Damiano Room from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM, sharing food, fellowship, and information about our organization. Email lepgecko@icloud.com to RSVP.

3️⃣ March 14, 21, 28 & April 4: Children’s Stations of the Cross
We want to include our children in the great Catholic tradition of Stations of the Cross. We will have a special children’s Stations of the Cross in the church at 4:00 PM on the following Fridays: March 7, March 14, March 21, March 28 and April 4th. On our final Friday before Holy Week, April 11, we will have a child-friendly Stations of the Cross in the evening with Vespers beginning at 6:30 PM. Please join us!

We kicked off the Lenten season by asking our parishioners what brought them hope! Hundreds of people received ashes this Ash Wednesday as a reminder that our bodies are mortal but our souls are eternal.
This Lent, we invite you to take a journey with us as one St. Francis family, into the desert to discover the HOPE that awaits you in the passion and resurrection of Jesus Christ! Each Saturday we will have a talk in our coffee shop on the topic of hope, visit stfoafrisco.org for more info!

Today, Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent—a season of reflection and preparation as we journey toward Christ's Resurrection on Easter.

We begin this sacred season by acknowledging our brokenness, mortality, and sin. The ashes serve as a powerful reminder that while our bodies may return to dust, our souls are called to eternal life.

Happy St. Valentine’s Day! We had an unforgettable time celebrating love at our 3rd Annual St. Valentine’s Gala this past weekend. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended and made this event a true success. 💗

Today is the Feast Day of Our Lady of Lourdes!

Our Lady of Lourdes appeared to St. Bernadette Soubirous, 14-year-old girl, in 1858 in Lourdes, France. She urged Bernadette to pray, do penance, and encourage others to come to the spring that had miraculously appeared. Many who visited the spring experienced physical and spiritual healing, and Lourdes became one of the most beloved pilgrimage sites in the world.

Beckett Gallutia, who has grown up at St. Francis, has a special connection to our church. The first place he drove after getting his license? St. Francis, of course! There was just one catch: the chapel was locked since it was after hours.

One of the key goals of our capital campaign is to build a 24/7 perpetual adoration chapel—something Beckett believes would have a profound impact on our community, especially for the youth seeking a closer connection with God.

📣 Our Pastor, Fr. Rudy Garcia shares an update for the capital campaign! 🙏

The I Am with You Always campaign has received pledges of over $14.5 million dollars from 475 parish families. In order to stay on pace with our projected goals, we need to increase that number of families who have pledged to 1,000 by the end of February. We are grateful for those who have stepped forward to support the campaign so far, but remember that success will require the support of every family making a meaningful and sacrificial pledge to support St. Francis.

3️⃣ Altar Server Training
We need altar servers! As an altar server you have the opportunity to assist the priest and deacon at the altar. It is a wonderful way to participate and learn more about what happens at the Mass. We will have trainings for English and Spanish on Saturday February 8th in the church. If are already and altar server and would like to be a captain or would like to renew your training, we encourage you to attend also. Please attend a one-hour training session on Saturday, February 8th in the church (9:00 am, 10:00 am 11:00 am). Every session will include English, Spanish and captain training.

More than 40 St. Francis youth, their families, and Respect Life ministry members attended this year’s NTX Rally For Life and Pro-Life Mass at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Dallas on Saturday. They gathered with fellow Catholics from across the diocese to champion the sanctity of life in the womb; hear a powerful message from Bishop Burns about speaking the truth in love; and witness courageous testimony from post-abortive women and former abortion clinic workers whose hearts were healed and restored by the redeeming power of God’s mercy.
