Samuel MoraSamuel Mora is an outstanding lay leader who volunteers his time and leadership skills to parish liturgical and ministry life. As a visible leader in the Hispanic community at St. Francis of Assisi and an usher since 2004, Samuel has led the Teen and Adult Ushers for Spanish Masses for more than 6 years. As an active parish leader, he helped plan the annual Our Lady of Guadalupe Feast, and in several additional events like the Stations of the Cross during Holy Week, the Novena of our Lady of Guadalupe, Mass Coordinators at Christmas Masses, Via Lucis, Posadas, and he ushers at least one Spanish Mass and sometimes two each Sunday. Samuel is always willing to help people, especially teenagers. Thanks to his efforts, the young ushers group now has more than 45 members and the adult group has more than 30 members. Samuel, with his humility and sense of responsibility, is always ready to help not only the parish, but also the community with the gifts that Our Lord gave him. He is the kind of person you want to see when you go to the Church, a person full of Love for everyone. Our parish is indeed blessed to have Samuel share his time and talent to help accomplish our parish mission.

Delia BeaversAs the right hand to our Director of Liturgy, Delia serves on the parish Liturgy Commission and is the lead coordinator for our Mass Facilitators and Sacristans preparing for Sunday and weekday Masses. She also manages to be a Lector and to usher at the 5:00 pm Saturday Mass, an altar server and Sacristan at weekday Masses and at many funeral Masses, and is a Eucharistic Minister. In her leadership role, she developed the Mass Coordinator responsibilities and procedures, which has helped achieve continuity in preparation for all our Masses. She also trains all Sacristans, English and Spanish. Delia is regularly invited to lead Breaking Open the Word at RCIA sessions. Delia was a founding member of the Women of St. Francis and has held positions there from President to Parliamentarian. She has also served as President of the Dallas Diocesan Council for Catholic Women and President of the North Texas Deanery of the National Council of Catholic Women. Lastly, in the face of all her other volunteer activities, she manages to find time to be in the Homebound and Hospital Ministry. Our parish is indeed blessed to have Delia share so much of her time and talent to help accomplish our parish mission.
