All of us have been deeply affected by the current clergy abuse crisis in the Church. It is a situation that deserves a response from the community of faith. A response that includes prayer for the victims, reparation for the harm done, and a commitment to a process of healing and turning to the Lord in order that He might show us the way forward. " |
Beginning Thursday October 4, 2018 (Feast of St. Francis) until Sunday April 14, 2019 (Palm Sunday) our Parish family is asked to:
1. At the directive of our Bishop, we will pray the rosary before each Sunday Mass.
It will be an adapted version that takes into consideration the spacing of our Masses. |
2. We will have Exposition and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament each Thursday from 9 am until after the Sacrament of Reconciliation in the evening.
If you would like to sign up for a Holy hour please contact our Parish Administrator Cathy Maranon cmaranon@stfoafrisco.org or at 972 - 712 -2645 ext 352. |
3. I invite us to commit to a day of fasting on Thursdays during the aforementioned time period.

A Video from Ascension Presents:
(A video recommended for teenagers) This talk is difficult for Fr. Mike to give, but sadly, it is also necessary. Since the Pennsylvania Report was released, practically every headline with the word “Catholic” in it has been about the report, which covers seventy years and gives accounts of three hundred priests who allegedly abused over one thousand minors over. Indignation is not the main message Fr. Mike wants to express here—although he feels that too. More than anything, he wants his viewers to know that now—more than ever—we need to live virtuous and holy lives and become the saints the Church needs. |
Concerning Our Local Parish Home
A Message From Our Pastor
I know many of you have seen our parish mentioned in media reports about a Ft. Worth priest alleging an inappropriate relationship between a former parochial vicar here and an employee of St. Francis of Assisi. I have been assured by the Diocese of Dallas that they have looked into the matter and found no proof that the charges are true. I ask that you please pray for all involved in this matter and that truth and justice prevail. If you are approached by anyone on the matter, please refer them to Annette Gonzales Taylor, Director of the Office of Communications, at agtaylor@cathdal.org or 214-379-2873.
