St. Francis of Assisi Rebranding Process
We're so glad that you're interested in our rebranding process, please read below to find out more info!
Why?
St. Francis of Assisi in Frisco, TX is a rapidly growing church with rapidly growing needs. To address this rapid growth, we feel that it is of the utmost importance to keep our branding updated for our current congregation. We've thought about how to go forward with this rebranding and have decided to make the below changes.
|
When?
A rebrand for any company is a very length process that requires much thought and many revisions. We ask that our parishioners give us their patience as they begin to notice changes. The project is expected to take at least one to two years; we are currently in the research phase of this rebrand.

So What's Even Changing?
Our Logo
We are currently working with a logo design company in order to achieve a new logo. After getting the first round of logos from our design company, we decided to not move forward with those and head on to a second round. We are currently awaiting these second round of logos and will keep you updated as soon as we receive them. We invite you to join our focus group on Tuesday, September 24th from 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM where we'll go over some logo options from our design company.

Our Website
Along with a new logo, we plan to launch a new website. We've hired a website designer to entirely re-do our website. The website currently feels over-cluttered with information which is all but welcoming to new parishioners and people interested in joining the Catholic faith. Our goal is to make a website that is welcoming for everyone while still providing the information you've come to know and love. You may notice changes on this current website but these are all to prepare for our new website. While we don't have anything for you to currently preview, know that we are keeping your best interests in our thoughts.

Our Color Palette
It's tough to describe our current color palette which is exactly why we're redoing it! Currently it consists of two colors: dark red and black. Our new color palette will have six different tones. While we work with our rebranding company to figure out the exact colors we'll be choosing we know that we'll be moving away from the dark red and black color combination. We aren't currently sure of the variations of primary and secondary colors we'll be using, but you are invited to vote down below which colors you'd like to see! As we begin to get the color palettes back from the company, we'll update this page with those palettes for you to vote on.

Our Typography
Finally, our last change will be to choose a different typography set which will include a primary, secondary, and tertiary font. We currently try to use Avenir for our primary and secondary font, but it honestly differs for each person in the office. I'm sure you've received dozens of handouts from us that all have different fonts and designs. Our goal is to be one unified church which means we need to be unified in our branding. By the end of our rebranding process, all St. Francis staff should be using our new logo, color palette, and typefaces. Unfortunately we will not be able to offer a preview or vote on the typography.

FAQ
Why can't everything just stay the same?
Due to the growing size of our parish we feel as though it is important to update our branding in order to be more welcoming towards not only new parishioners but towards people wanting to learn more about the Catholic faith.
Is the name of the church changing?
No, our church name will stay St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
What does that mean for me as a parishioner?
Parishioners will notice a new logo, website, typefaces, and colors. The website will most likely be the biggest and hardest change for most parishioners as they have become accustomed to our current website. We will be available via email and phone to help with questions once we launch the new website. You may notice it will become either easier or harder to find your usual content but rest assured we are always here to help! We also ask that once we launch our new branding, that all parishioners cease use of our old logo and switch over to the new one in order to create a consistent brand across St. Francis of Assisi.
I'm a ministry leader, what does this mean for me?
We ask that once we launch our new branding all ministries use our updated logo. This includes any documentation (physical or electronic) that ministry leaders may have to create for their ministries. We will publish a branding guide that includes multiple versions of our logo for use in social media, letterheads, envelopes, and more! We also ask that once we publish our branding guide and logos that you do not modify the logo in any shape or form and that you get the high-quality logo directly from our website/branding guide. Please ask us if you need the logo formatted in a certain way and we will be happy to try our best to help.
What can I do to help?
While we don't need any help with the creation of anything, we would LOVE to hear your opinion! Please check this page frequently for opportunities to vote on logos and colors. If you have any suggestions for either our website or logo please use our Feedback Link to tell us what you think!
Is there anything else I can do?
