Get to know Ella!

We are so excited to introduce Ella, who is serving as our Youth Ministry Intern this Summer! Get to know her!

Where are you from?

I was born in Denver, Colorado and grew up in Richmond, Virginia! My family moved to Texas about 9 years ago, and have been attending Saint Francis of Assisi ever since.

What were you doing before you started working at St. Francis?

I am currently attending Franciscan University of Steubenville, studying both Theology and Catechetics with a focus in Youth Ministry, but am back home for the summer!

What is your favorite dessert?

My favorite dessert is probably a good snow cone or a warm chocolate chip cookie

What are your hobbies?

I love to read, make rosaries, hammock outside, go for drives, and workout

If you could have dinner with one person, dead or alive, who would it be?

If I could have dinner with one person, it would probably be with one of the saints! it would be hard to choose, but I would probably have to go with Saint Dymphna or Saint Faustina

Who is your favorite saint?

Saint Dymphna!

What is your favorite form of prayer?

My favorite form of prayer in probably journaling or praise and worship. I also love the Divine Mercy Chaplet sung.

Do you have a favorite quote or bible verse?

"Father if thou art willing, remove this cup from me; nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done." Luke 22:42

What made you want to work for the Church?

After graduating college and taking a mission year, I want to go into youth ministry as my career, and I wanted to come work for the church in order to gain experience and see the daily ins and outs of youth ministry at a young age.

What excites you the most about being on staff?

Seeing what day to day in a Church ministry setting looks like. I have already learned so much about how much goes into all of the different ministries here at Saint Francis, and I think that so much goes overlooked and unappreciated! I am excited to have more of an understanding of everything that goes on so that I can have a greater appreciation for it.
