Volunteer Positions (All volunteers are required to be Safe Environment cleared adults):
Small Group Leader: Small Group Leaders are practicing Catholics in good standing, who have a desire to share their Catholic faith with the youth of our parish while building a mentor relationship with those teens. Each small group has a team of at least two people who work together to walk with their teens throughout the year. All that is required is a willing heart for our young people and a desire to pass on our Catholic faith to the youth of our parish in a relational ministry setting. All volunteers will be provided with clearly written curriculum and some support resources as well as on-going support from the Faith Formation staff. Additional resources for your small group, outside of what we provide, are at your disposal. We will offer training at the beginning of the year to provide you with small group training, relational ministry, and other applicable tools to help you and on-going support/training throughout the year in various forms to help assist you in your position.
Team Leader: Team Leaders provide support to our faith formation sessions by making copies, monitoring classroom needs, processing attendance weekly, ensuring all Safe Environment procedures are being adhered to at assigned sessions, and maintaining important lines of communication with our teaching teams.
Permanent Substitute: Permanent Substitutes are available to help out in an assigned Faith Formation session should one of the regular small group leaders or assistants not be in that day. Permanent Substitutes should check in at every session with the Team Leaders to see if they are needed for any last minute absences (especially during cold and flu season).
