Let us spend this time waiting in joyful hope in our hearts. Hope is not mere optimism or wishful thinking; it is a firm trust that God is faithful and will fulfill what He has promised. During Advent, we hope for something far deeper than gifts or festivities- we hope for Christ Himself. Want to live out Hope This Advent? Here are Four Ways: 1. Deepen Your Relationship with God Begin with prayer and the Sacraments. Like Mary’s “yes,” open your heart to God’s will through Mass and Confession. These encounters strengthen hope because they unite us to Christ. 2.Meditate on the Journey Just like Joseph and Mary’s journey to Bethlehem, they contemplated the arrival of Jesus. Set aside time for Adoration, journaling, and spiritual reading. Hope grows when we contemplate God’s faithfulness in salvation history. 3.Embrace Joyful Anticipation Hope is active, it moves us to joy. Celebrate with traditions that point to Christ: nativity scenes, Advent wreaths, and community gatherings. These remind us that our waiting is filled with promise. 4.Practice Charity Hope leads to love in action. Be generous like the man who offered the stable. Serve the poor and show patience towards those around you. Every act of charity reflects the hope we have in Christ’s coming. In short: Preparing your heart with hope means living in confident trust that God’s promises are true, and letting that trust shape your life. Camp Hidden Lake y Camp Covecrest son más que un centro de retiro y un campamento de verano. Covecrest es una comunidad de católicos comprometidos con la transformación de los adolescentes, la transformación de las parroquias y la transformación de la cultura. ¡Mientras estamos en el campamento, los misioneros de Hidden Lake y Covecrest están allí para facilitar nuestra experiencia de campamento y caminar junto a nuestra parroquia! Jubilee Year of St. Francis of Assisi 800th Anniversary of The Saint's Death This celebration is a time of remembrance and renewal. He represents a life that "blossoms from the gift and offering of oneself." This week, Pope Leo proclaimed a special Jubilee Year to mark the 800th anniversary of St. Francis of Assisi’s death, running from January 10, 2026, through January 10, 2027.
