We Invite you to join us this Advent
The Advent season is a time of preparation that directs our hearts and minds to Christ’s second coming at the end of time and also to the anniversary of the Lord’s birth on Christmas. The final days of Advent, from December 17 to December 24, focus particularly on our preparation for the celebrations of the Nativity of our Lord (Christmas). We invite you to one of our many events that will help us prepare our hearts and minds for Christmas. |
A Special Gift To You!
As a special gift to our St. Francis family this Advent, we have access to Dr. Brant Pitre’s inspiring presentation, Jesus and the Jewish Roots of Advent. In this series, Dr. Pitre shows how a deeper understanding of the ancient Jewish prophecies of the Messiah can help unlock the hidden meanings of the season of Advent. In this close study of the Sunday readings from the Advent lectionary, you will learn: • What is the primary meaning of the season of Advent? • Who is the mysterious figure, John the Baptist? • What are the Jewish roots of the famous "Jesse Tree"? |
