David Utsler - Director of Faith Formation

David has been a staff member and parishioner at St. Francis since May 2005. David has an extensive background in pastoral ministry, teaching, and forming people in faith. Prior to his reception into the Catholic Church in 1996, David served on the pastoral staff of two different non-Catholic communities over a period of 10 years. As our parish continues to grow, David is excited about seeing our Faith Formation programs grow as well and helping families experience evangelization, discipleship, and a deepening of the spiritual life. David has a particular interest in Franciscan spirituality. He is married to Grace and they have three children—Mena, Brendan, and Sophia.  David holds a BA in philosophy from the Franciscan University of Steubenville and is currently a doctoral student in the Department of Philosophy and Religion at the University of North Texas.”
