Bible Study

We continue our journey through the Pentateuch with Catholic Scripture Study, Inc. this Spring. Although we began in the Fall, you can begin any time with Catholic Scripture Study. CSS is a five-year revolving program where nearly the entire Bible is covered in that time. It doesn’t matter where you start, just keep going until you have completed the program and you will gain a good knowledge of the Bible. There is no cost, but we do appreciate donations to go toward the cost of materials. We resume our study the second full week of January with the following three opportunities to participate:

  • Monday evening at 7:00 pm, beginning January 11. Contact Ron Holleman at 972-978-7551 for more information.

  • Wednesday morning at 9:30 am, beginning January 13. Contact Lindy Hill at 972-712-1809 for more information.

  • Sunday morning at 10:00 am, beginning January 16. Contact Patty Franklin at franklint@grandecom.net for more information.

St Francis Book Club

Book Club begins again on January 13 at 11:00 am following the morning Bible Study. We are going to read and discuss The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis. First published in 1942, The Screwtape Letters remains an enduring Christian classic. There is no cost for registration. Simply pick up a copy of the book at most any local bookstore or order online. If you should have trouble locating a copy, contact David Utsler in the parish office. Join us for this delightful journey into the world of Screwtape!
